JumpStart Overview

The proposed effort leverages proven Scope Interactive expertise in understanding the IT and IS management issues to determine appropriate strategies and design a blueprint for Internet deployment. It will provide recommendations on how Internet technologies should be deployed across business functions that are completely independent of specific vendor or product solutions.

The use of an architecture standard and models that define integration with existing resources, function, utility and interoperability will provide the client with a road map for building web-based systems designed to meet business needs with the best technology available. The same road map will provide for tactical and strategic technology deployment required to plan for the seamless integration of new products and standards as the industry evolves.

The Scope Interactive approach and project steps are defined as follows:

Phase 1 - Develop Knowledge and Awareness

This phase will focus on developing, organizing, and presenting key external influences that may affect the client’s competitive position with regard to use of the Internet as a set of technologies and as an alternative service channel. Scope Interactive will employ benchmarking techniques and technology trend analysis as developed from our current account portfolio.

1.1 Project Kickoff

Scope Interactive will conduct a kickoff meeting with the project leaders to ensure a consistent, mutual understanding of the objectives and scope of work, develop a schedule for this phase, and identify roles and responsibilities for all participants.

1.2 Benchmarking against Competitors and Industry Class

We will develop a model that comprises key benchmarking criteria including fit, function, security, etc. This model will be reviewed with the client’s project team and will serve as the basis for our benchmark to ensure consistency.

1.4 Data Discovery

In this step, Scope Interactive will focus on both the business value drivers for the Internet strategy and the technology requirements. Scope Interactive will interview functional groups from the client’s representative units to ascertain their individual objectives, as well as senior management to obtain a view into the client’s corporate objectives overall. The groups will be broken down into three levels: Headquarters, Regional Offices, and Customers. Our goal is to limit the number of meetings to 10. We will include the following:

The data discovery activities will consist of both a review of available documentation and interviews with critical departments and key customers, limited to 10 interviews.

1.5 Internet Strategies Presentation

After the previous steps are complete, Scope Interactive will present key findings to the project team working on these issues and others with a stake in the strategy in a presentation/discussion session. The goal, once the issue/opportunity is defined, is to drive the group to a consensus on the strategy, approach and timing applicable to the client. The session schedule is as follows:

Deliverable: Scope Interactive will prepare a detailed, written report and an executive presentation that documents our analysis, how it was developed, and the associated findings and observations. The executive presentation will be written in a concise, management-oriented format. Scope Interactive will present the executive presentation to client representatives in a half-day session. This session will continue the awareness-raising process and will provide the opportunity for questions and answers.
